Dear Sirs,
we are a company that deals with the distribution of the famous brand CHAMPAGNE ST BARTH OUANALAO. We are in France in Champagne department 51 and send a brief introduction on our beautiful island of St. Barth as well as our catalogue.
Saint Barth (Saint Barthélemy is his full name) – in the wonderful Caribbean – is rich in vegetation, creeks and hillocks overlooking the sea. People like Madonna, Naomi Campbell, and Claudia Schiffer, during the ’80s and ’90s introduced the world to this little paradise that has since become one of the most expensive and chic destinations in the world.
The history of Saint Barth
Christopher Columbus was the first European to set foot on the island of Saint Barth in 1493 and gave it a special name: that of his brother Bartholomew.
Located in the small Caribbean Antilles and inhabited at that time by indigenous people engaged in fishing, over the following centuries the island of Saint Barth has witnessed the passage of many settlers: Sweden, France, and the Order of Malta have followed one another over the years and have left their mark in small details. The capital Gustavia, for example, is named after King Gustav.
Following the referendum of 1878, the island of Saint Barth comes under the control of France, which transmits traditions, laws, and culture: it is found in the scent of baguettes that you can hear passing by the boulangeries, in the typical dishes of French cuisine, in the charm transmitted by the locals, in the elegant atmosphere that is perceived in every corner.
