Casa Spam: trucchi e consigli antispam

Forse perchè il mio account su ICQ è vecchissimo … forse perchè leggono nel pensiero … fatto sta che ricevo ogni giorno messaggi spam su ICQ, nella maggior parte dei casi si tratta di giovani signorine che hanno scelto proprio me quale spettatore per uno show in webcam (che fortuna, eh?)

Oggi però ne ricevo uno carino che vi incollo per le considerazioni del caso

Sono sicuro che si tratti di spam e non di una vera richiesta di aiuto perchè l’utente fa di tutto per rendersi anonimo …

Spesso non si tratta neanche di messaggi ma direttamente di una richiesta di autorizzazione per entrare nella rubrica. In questi caso è relativamente facile riconoscere amici che hanno scelto nick stravaganti dagli spammoni di turno: una rapida occhiata alle informazioni personali con un occhio di riguardo al sito personale nel 50% dei casi è sufficiente a smascherare lo spammer.

Se prima gli spammer, come continuano a fare, spammavano sui forum e sui newsgroup, da un po’ di tempo, con la nascita e l’affermarsi dei blog, hanno puntato la loro attenzione anche verso quest’altra risorsa della rete.

Per i blog realizzati con il CMS WordPress esiste un potente plugin antispam da installare: Akismet. Akismet riesce a rilevare i commenti spam. E’ vero che molti di questi sono riconoscibili a chilometri di distanza: decine e decine di link, parole riguardanti il sesso, parolacce, testi troppo lunghi.

Ma il nuovo tipo di commento spam che ho ricevuto oggi in due differenti blog è del tutto diverso. Si confonde bene, o almeno crede di farlo. E’ comunque riconoscibile per l’utente. E’ stato creato per eludere la sorveglianza di Akismet. Ma, a quanto pare, ha fallito miseramente nella sua impresa.

Per un orecchio entra e per l’altro esce

E’ scritto in perfetto italiano, a differenza della maggior parte che è in inglese. Riporta nome e cognome e l’url del sito.  E poi una sorta di proverbio, che non ha nessun senso. Anche l’altro messaggio era simile: un nome di donna, un sito con lettere a caso, un testo "proverbiale".

Ma le male femmine non hanno convinto il Signor Akismet.

Non ha quasi fatto in tempo ad uscire Windows Vista che lo spammer si è prontamente attrezzato con un messaggio:

Visitando il sito in questione ci troviamo davanti ad una pagina veramente scarna, il classico nero su bianco, pagina bianca, assenza di grafica, titoli a carattere cubitali con lo stesso messaggio pubblicitario e alla fine un bel link al sito www.pozdravloem.com che chissà dove porta… (e di cui sono riuscito a trovare ben poche informazioni interpellando il whois).

La tua missione nel 2007 può iniziare!

Lo spam, questa volta, proviene da Sky Europe. L’email è la loro. A fine messaggio un invito a cancellarmi dalla loro newsletter.

Il problema è che non mi sono mai iscritto alla loro newsletter. E ho già ricevuto diversi loro messaggi con la stessa offerta.

Il messaggio è troppo lungo e pieno di immagini da poterlo riportare. Una schermata dello stesso, però, si può inserire.

Se qualcuno dell’opposizione sta già esultando dopo aver letto il titolo di quest’articolo, deve frenare i suoi impeti e tornare alla realtà: questo è soltanto il titolo di un messaggio spam, o meglio parte di esso.
Il titolo completo è questo: Attenzione! Il cadavere di Prodi è stato trovtao nel suo armadietto! dove è sta per  "è".

Nel titolo ci sono degli errori, segno questo che proviene dall’estero. E forse all’estero non conoscono la stazza di Prodi… altrimenti saprebbero che in un armadietto non potrebbe entrarci…

Ecco il messaggio:

Hello xxx.xxx!! http://www.geocities.com/hi_hokiripohi ."Marini: "La legge elettorale e ad cambiare subito" "

Xxx.xxx stanno per il nome e cognome del destinatario. Un link, che ho preferito non aprire, e una news, che contiene anch’essa errori.
La strategia dello spammer è semplice: inserire nel titolo del messaggio una frase d’effetto, a sfondo politico magari, che catturi subito l’attenzione (e direi che in questo preciso caso c’è riuscito perfettamente) e poi, a corredo del suo link che porta chissà dove, un’altra frase, su una legge elettorale da cambiare.

Esistono altri messaggi di questo genere, che tratteremo in seguito. La caratteristica che li lega è la provenienza dei link: tutti dal sito Geocities, che ovviamente non ne è responsabile.

Siamo alle solite: le solite notifiche di vincite di lotterie. E quali potevano essere se non le banali lotterie legate all’estrazione di indirizzi email?

Ma vi immaginate qualcuno che "estrae" degli indirizzi email? Ne tira fuori uno e quel tale ha vinto la bellezza di un milione di euro? Un milione di euro! E come e da chi viene finanziata questa ridicola lotteria?

Facciamoci due risate col testo del messaggio:

E il bello è che, dopo diverso tempo, qualche anno, che questi messaggi truffa giravano, ha cominciato a parlarne anche il programma televisivo Striscia la Notizia, con Moreno Morello che ingaggiava una corsa coi truffatori presi in castagna.
Quindi a questo punto mi chiedo: o i signori truffatori non vedono Striscia, o sono talmente stupidi da pensare che esista ancora qualcuno che crede alle loro frottole.

Ora spedisco un’email per reclamare la mia fantomatica vincita. Nell’attesa di una risposta vi lascio nella più completa suspence…
